Island View Endurance Run
The Island View Endurance Run is a multi-distance trail event held on the Gaviota Coast in Santa Barbara County, California. The event is organized by the Santa Barbara County Trails Council, takes place October 24 to 25, 2026, and is authorized on National Forest System lands under a special use permit. Proceeds benefit trail maintenance and stewardship in the Santa Ynez Mountains and Los Padres National Forest.
The route runs between Santa Barbara and Buellton and begins at the Baron Ranch Trailhead on the Gaviota Coast. Course terrain combines ranch roads and single-track trails, with climbs and descents through canyon corridors to ridgelines and Gaviota Peak. The landscape is Mediterranean chaparral with some coastal riparian zones; several vantage points provide ocean and valley views.
