Freedom Racing - Hurtwood 50k
The Hurtwood 50k is a long distance trail ultra organised by Freedom Racing in the Surrey Hills. The event is based at Dorking Sports Centre on Reigate Road in Dorking and is scheduled for 5 December 2027.
The route is a fully signed long distance trail with extra race signage. The course uses an out and back format with a five mile loop used near the front of the field. Regular checkpoints provide food and drink at approximately 7, 13, 18 and 24 miles. SportIdent electronic timing is used, with live leaderboards and published results. A free TRIBE bar is available to collect at registration.
Entries open on 18 September 2026 and close on 3 December 2027. The minimum age for entrants is 18 and the published entry fee is £75. Runners are given a 10 hour time limit to complete the course, which the organisers note accommodates fast walkers and those attempting a first ultra.
