Hounslow Classic : Blue Mountains trail races
The Hounslow Classic is a weekend trail running event held in the Grose Valley Wilderness and around Blackheath in the Blue Mountains on 10–12 September 2027. The event base is at Allview Escape, 415-419 Hat Hill Rd, Blackheath NSW 2785.
Runners follow cliff-top trails and canyon routes that pass sandstone cliffs, deep valleys and rocky ridgelines. The course terrain includes steep climbs, technical singletrack, canyon steps, water crossings and exposed viewpoints.
Available race distances:
- 17 km : scenic cliff-top route between Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout, including sections of the Grand Canyon track.
- Marathon (42 km) : follows the 17 km route with an extended out-and-back to the Pinnacles via Perrys Lookdown and Lockleys Pylon.
The event spans multiple days with an event village at Allview Escape and race courses that move through ancient landscapes and key Blue Mountains features.
