Hopwood Trot
The Hopwood Trot is a multi terrain running event on a course of approximately five and a half miles (8.8km) on the paths, tracks and country lanes surrounding historic Hopwood Hall on the outskirts of Middleton in Greater Manchester. The route uses a mix of surfaces and is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Registration number and chip collection are based in the Sports Hall of Hopwood College. The start is on the adjoining sports field before joining the main course. The event is organised by Middleton Harriers and takes place at Hopwood College Sports Pavilion on Rochdale Road, postcode M24 6XH.
There are prizes for the first three male and first three female finishers, a prize for first in each age category and team prizes for male and female teams. Entry details published include an entry limit of 200 and a minimum age requirement of 16 or older. Entry fees listed are £12.00 for UKA members and £14.00 for non members.
