The route covers 26.2 Miles, starting from Lower Burnmouth in the Scottish Borders and following the coast through Berwick to Goswick and Beal, then along beaches to the Pilgrims causeway and across the dunes on Lindisfarne.

Entries run from 27 March 2026 to 19 April 2026. Entry fees are £85 affiliated including TRA contribution and £90 unaffiliated. Minimum age on race day is 18 years. Affiliated entries include Scottish Athletics, Welsh Athletics, England Athletics, Athletics Northern Ireland, TRA and ITRA.

A joining pack with race details and information for supporters will be sent late April 2026. Participants must state an accurate estimated finish time so organisers can check causeway access. The Pilgrims causeway route is mandatory; use of the Southern Low Bridge or the road will result in disqualification. The event is for running only; prolonged walking may lead to disqualification. The sweeper may ask runners to withdraw if they are behind cut offs. There is a causeway cut off at 19 miles and an overall race cut off of six hours.

Return transport to the start is provided by a single mini bus departure; this must be declared one month before the event. All finishers receive a race medal and goodie bag. An optional XCover product is offered for possible refund protection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
