Run the Raid Lindisfarne Trail Marathon and Half Marathon

Run the Raid is a coastal marathon and half marathon held on and around Holy Island and Spittal, Berwick-upon-Tweed on Sunday 2nd August 2026. The event uses a mix of coastal paths and quiet lanes and finishes on Holy Island.

  • Marathon: multi-terrain, starts and finishes on Holy Island; 100 places; age 18+.
  • Half Marathon: starts in Spittal, finishes on Holy Island; 500 places; age 17+.

Chip timing, bib numbers, and medals are provided for finishers. Aid and first aid are available at stations placed at approximately three mile intervals and at the finish. Routes are signed and there is full medical cover and age category awards. Time limits apply: 6 hours for the marathon and 4 hours for the half marathon.

Entry is via the organiser's online portal. The listed entry fees are £50.00 for the marathon and £30.00 for the half marathon; optional transport from Holy Island to the half marathon start is priced at £6.50. Bib packs for marathon entrants are posted 7-10 days before the event; half marathon bib packs can be collected on event day at the start or collected the day before at a collection point in Berwick upon Tweed.
