HoliTrot Fall Festival Trail Run : HoliMont, Ellicottville, NY
The HoliTrot Fall Festival Trail Run takes place on October 11, 2026 at HoliMont in Ellicottville. The event uses the mountain terrain and chairlift access to stage two races that begin with a lift ride to the summit, when foliage is at its peak.
Race formats and course notes:
- 5K Trail Run - across the mountain top then downhill on HoliMont mountain bike trails; rocky patches and uneven footing.
- Kids Race - short loop across the top around Saddle Pond with a chairlift ride back down after the finish.
Race amenities and event features include a costume contest with awards for best adult, best kid, and best team; awards for the top three overall in each gender and a Top Team award for groups of six or more; and a finish area offering food and drinks from Dina's at the Mont. T-shirts will be available to runners who register before September 28, 2026. Spectators are allowed to ride the lift free of charge to view the finish area and valley views.
Registration opens August 24, 2026 and continues through October 10, 2026, with different fees for pre-event registration and race day entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
