Hillsborough Castle & Gardens Running Festival

The Hillsborough Castle & Gardens Running Festival takes place on 25 July 2027 at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens and is organised by RunThrough in support of Northern Ireland Hospice.

Race options include:

  • 10K
  • Half Marathon

Both routes start and finish within the castle grounds and pass through historic gardens and open parkland. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags, and marshals are positioned on the course to guide and encourage participants. Results are chip timed.

Entry includes a unique themed medal, free race photos, and post-race goodies. A well-serviced event village offers food and drink options and free items from event partners at the finish. An event t-shirt is available at more than 30% off when purchased as part of entry; the t-shirt is supplied in partnership with RT Kit.

Ticket sales are staged with Super Early Bird entry available until 9 August 2026, Early Bird entry until 24 January 2027, and Standard entry until 27 June 2027. The organiser notes active work on sustainability and provides further information to entrants; confirmation and additional event details are issued closer to the event.
