Run Forest Run - Minnowburn
Run Forest Run - Minnowburn is a 5K and 10K running event based at Mary Peters Track, Old Coach Road, Belfast. The courses use the athletics track and nearby forest trails, country roads, National Trust land at Minnowburn and paths along the banks of the Lagan.
Entry is online only unless places remain on the day; race packs are posted to participants to arrive by 29 October 2026. Postal options for Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland are available for an additional charge. Entry fees listed include standard and early bird rates and separate junior rates with specified age categories; registration processing fees apply in addition.
Practical information includes free parking in the grounds of Mary Peters Track with limited spaces, toilets and changing facilities at the Athletics NI building, and showers in the track changing rooms. There will be no water station due to winter conditions, so participants should carry water if required. Pets are not allowed and the course is not suitable for buggies. There is a 55 minute cut-off for the 5K. Results and event photos will be published after the event. Prize awards are given for first to third male and female finishers, and series category prizes are awarded based on multiple-race results.
