Head for the Hills trail race
Head for the Hills is an annual trail event organized by the St. Catharines Road Runners and Walkers as part of the club's yearly race series. It is one of four main races the club hosts, plus a self-guided winter run, and proceeds from the races support local charities.
The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, October 17. The event features multiple short-distance trail formats aimed at a range of participants, including a dedicated kids race and a Survivor walk that supports a local charity.
Distances offered:
- 5k trail race
- 10k trail race
- 1k kids race
- 1k Survivor walk supporting the Brain Injury Association of Niagara
The race is described as a trail event and is listed alongside the club's other annual races, including a Valentine's 5k, a Twelve Mile Creek Trail half marathon and 7k, and the Niagara Ultra series. Results from prior editions are maintained for reference. The Head for the Hills entry for 2026 is explicitly noted as supporting the Brain Injury Association of Niagara.
