Haunted Sacramento 5K & 10K
Haunted Sacramento is a map-based adventure run held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in East Sacramento. The event sends participants through the well-decorated Fab 40s neighborhoods using map checkpoints and simple on-site questions.

Teams of one to five people tackle a course marked by circles on a map. At each circle the team locates the house at the center and answers a multiple choice question about that display. The typical checkpoint count is about 20 on the 5 km course and about 36 on the 10 km course. After returning to the finish, participants can enjoy snacks, drinks, and socializing.
The event offers Gender divisions (Women, Men, Mixed) and Age divisions (Junior, Open, Masters average age 40 plus, Family for juniors and adults). Registration is available online through UltraSignup, with day-of registration also offered. Fees vary by registration date; examples by person include 5k from $20 up to $35 and 10k from $25 up to $40. Student and junior rates are lower.
