Harewood Forest Trail Race
The Harewood Forest Trail Race is an annual spring event held in Harewood Forest in the Test Valley, with the event site at Wherwell Playing Fields SP11 7JP. Proceeds support the Wherwell Playing Fields Association and Wherwell School PTA.

Entries are pre-registration only and close at 10pm on the stated closing date. Early and late entry prices are published for each distance. Minimum ages apply: entrants must be 12 years or older for the 10 km and 7 years or older for the 5 km. All 5 km entrants under 11 must be accompanied on the route by a responsible adult who holds their own entry. A separate childrens event is held on a multi lap route around the field.
Routes are undulating and hilly, mixing trail, tarmac, dirt and single tracks through fields and bluebell woods. The course has a single road crossing and multiple obstacles such as overhanging trees, mud, holes and ruts. The course is marked with kilometre markers, tape, signs and flags, and marshals are present.
Canicross entrants must follow specific conditions including appropriate harness and bungee lead, carrying water for the dog, cleaning up after the dog and holding public liability insurance. Dogs may be restricted if the effective temperature reaches or exceeds 18 degrees Celsius.
Facilities include toilets, first aid on the course and at the finish, parking on the sports field, marked water and refreshment provision at the finish, and no bag drop. The event is cupless so runners should bring their own cup or bottle. Marshals may remove participants who do not follow instructions. Finishers receive prizes.
