Harding Hustle
The Harding Hustle is a trail running event held July 24, 2027 in Modjeska Canyon, California, within the Cleveland National Forest near Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary. The event uses the Harding Truck Trail jeep road and includes sustained climbs and descents through the Santa Ana Mountains with scenic views from higher elevations.
Three distances are offered:
- 50K
- 30K
- 15K
Courses include staffed aid stations along the route and chip timing for official results. The 50K route is an out-and-back on the Harding Truck Trail and reaches substantial elevation gain; the event publishes total elevation gain and maximum elevation for each distance. Cutoff points exist at several aid stations and a race day time limit applies to each distance.
Logistics note that parking is not permitted at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary and runners must use a designated shuttle from the Oakley parking area. Runner dropoff is allowed at the sanctuary but on-site parking for participants and spectators is restricted. Each runner is limited to two spectators, and spectators must use the shuttle and parking at Oakley. Crew access to remote aid stations is not allowed; crew may assist only by signing up as volunteers. Pacers are not permitted.
The race is presented as a hot weather event; organizers may require a minimum water capacity and recommend runners carry at least one liter between aid stations. Race shirts, post-race food, and finisher awards are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
