Crystal Cove Trail Run - December 12, 2026
The Crystal Cove Trail Run, organized by SoCalTrail, takes place at Crystal Cove State Park (El Moro) on the Orange County coast. The event offers three distances and runs on marked trails with single track, fire road climbs, ridgeline descents and technical sections such as the Rock Garden, Elevator and the Wall on the 15K course.
Distances:
- 15K El Moro: 9.35 miles, 1,647 ft vertical
- 6K Cut-Across: 4.1 miles, 696 ft vertical
- Kids 1K: 0.52 miles, 22 ft vertical
The 15K includes three aid stations stocked with water, Skratch Hydration and Crank e-Gels at roughly miles 3.9, 5.6 and 7.5. The 6K has one aid station at about mile 2.1. All courses will be marked with flour, ribbons and directional signs.
Entries include a race shirt, hand-crafted finisher medal, and free course photography. The event provides breakfast with plant-based options, a post-race beer garden for attendees 21 and over, sports massage services, sponsor giveaways, and same-day results. The 15K carries a $2,000 prize purse with payouts for top finishers, and awards are given by age group and overall for female, male and non-binary categories.
