Ham & Lyme Summer 2027

Ham & Lyme Summer 2027 is the twelfth edition of an established ultra running event in the South-West that offers two distance options. The route follows much of the Liberty Trail, a historic path linked to a 1685 journey to join the Monmouth Rebellion. The course finishes by the sea, producing a lively atmosphere in the afternoon and quieter, seaside finishes at night.

Organisers offer an early secure place option for entries; recently the 50k has been available to secure early while 100k entries open later. Entry fees for 2027 are set at £40 for the 50k and £75 for the 100k, reflecting a recent price increase noted by the organisers.

The race is known for on-course interactions: 50k and 100k runners pass each other, exchanging encouragement, and large groups from running clubs create a field of colour at the start. Other noted aspects from recent editions include varied arrival times at the seaside finish and lighthearted elements such as participants taking emu selfies.
