Dark Skies Series

The Dark Skies Series is a winter night trail running series organised by Channel Events and held across Somerset in 2026/27. The series comprises four events at named locations, each offering two route distances.

  • 5 km route option
  • 10 km route option

Entrants may book individual events or enter the whole series. All entrants have the opportunity to order a bespoke wooden finisher’s medal prior to the events, allowing participants to collect up to four medals across the series.

The 2026/27 series dates and locations are listed as follows: Moonlit Meadow Run: Longrun Meadow, Taunton - 14th November 2026 Storm The Fort: Brean Down, Brean - 16th January 2027 Moonlit Meadow Run: Longrun Meadow, Taunton - 6th February 2027 Mendip Aurora: Mendip Activity Centre, Churchill - 20th March 2027

Standard single-event entry pricing is shown at £21 per race. Series booking options are also shown, with a listed price of £80 for the full set of either the 5 km series or the 10 km series. Two long trail races across the Mendip Way offering dramatic hilltop views, coastal finish and on-course aid; 30 Miler or 50 Miler with multiple aid stations and medical cover.
Trail runs of 5 km and 10 km around Fyne Court Estate in the Quantock Hills AONB with optional wooden finisher medals and a waste-reduction policy.
Join the Crook Peak Cake Race in Axbridge on Wed 19 Aug 2026 for a spirited 3 mile fell challenge across stunning Somerset hills, finishing with cake and community cheer. On the day entry available for runners aged 14 and up.
Point-to-point ultras along the Cambrian Way into Cardiff, offered as 44- and 33-mile options with self-navigation, live tracking, indoor aid stations, and on-route support.
