Gumby 10K and 5K (2027)
The Gumby trail runs take place at Granite Beach in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The events use a well-marked trail course along the lake shoreline with volunteers positioned to cheer and multiple aid stations on course. Gumby finisher medals are back for 2027.
Distances:
- Gumby 10K: 6.2 miles
- Gumby 5K: 3.1 miles
Aid stations are located at miles 1, 2.5, 3.5, and 5 and provide cold water, FLUID Electrolyte beverage, and CLIF Shot energy gels and Bloks. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed; runners must take care when crossing roads and on trails.
Race shirts are available for pre-sale at $20 and must be pre-ordered to be available on race day. Packet pickup takes place race morning from 6:30 to 8:00 am at the race site.
Awards are given to first overall male and female in each race, with three-deep awards by ten-year age groups for the 10K and three-deep awards plus overall placings for the 5K. For 5K age-grouping, under-19 athletes are split into 14 and under and 15-19 divisions. Custom race plaques are awarded three deep in each listed age group and division.
Entry fees vary by date. The organizer has a no-refund policy; refunds before race week are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers to other events are allowed within one year for a $25 fee. All events are held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
