Grasmere Wild Trail Runs 2027
This event returns to Grasmere in March 2027 with a new Half Marathon route added to the established 5 km and 10 km trail runs. Trail runs take place on Saturday and Sprint and Standard Duathlons are scheduled for the following Sunday. The event base is at Grasmere Lakeland Sports & Show on Stock Lane in Grasmere, Cumbria.

The new Half Marathon route passes through Grasmere Village, alongside Grasmere Water and Rydal Water, goes past Rydal Caves, skirts Loughrigg Fell to Ambleside Park and returns to Rydal Water. The 10 km route includes sections of Grasmere Village, Grasmere Water and Rydal Water and also passes Rydal Caves. The 5 km route follows a scenic lap of Grasmere Water and is aimed at beginner runners.
Merrell will provide a free shoe demo on site. The event is canicross friendly; one controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must be on a short lead at all times. There is a separate start for canicross runners. Live chip timing will be provided by Timing Up North.
All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise and a drink and snack. An exclusive event T shirt is available to purchase for £14. Limited on site parking is available for £4 and some competitors may need to use nearby public parking if the ground is wet or the car park is full.
