Gods Own BYU Fall : Hunters Greave, Leeds (14 November 2026)
Gods Own BYU Fall is a backyard ultra held at Hunters Greave, Pollard Lane, Hawksworth, Leeds (LS5 3BF) on 14 November 2026. The event follows the backyard ultra format: competitors set off on the hour every hour to complete a 4.167 mile loop. To continue to the next hour a runner must complete the loop within the hour; failure to do so results in a DNF. All competitors will record a DNF except the final runner who completes a loop alone and is crowned the champion.
The course is a mixture of canal towpath, farmland trail, woodland trail and tarmac paths. The day course has elevation gain on each loop; a modified night loop avoids crossing the canal and follows a tarmac towpath. The route will be fully waymarked and marshalled.
Facilities at the event include hot and cold water, fruit, sweets, camping, toilets and first aid cover. Participants receive a bespoke Yorkshire goodie bag; t-shirts and hoodies are available during the event. Camping is available at the start/finish with limited campervan space by prior arrangement. Access on foot from Kirkstall Forge rail station is a short walk from the venue. Organisers require appropriate clothing for the conditions and may not allow runners to continue if dress is unsuitable; running into the night requires a headtorch and spare batteries.
