Gator Tail 5K Trail Run
The 8th Annual Gator Tail 5K Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Northshore Technical Community College in Lacombe, Louisiana. The event includes multiple course options and on-campus activities.

The 5K course begins at the NTCC campus and covers mixed terrain: gravel, dirt, and grassy paths. Runners travel through a wooded area adjacent to the campus and loop around the southwest perimeter of the Tamanend development. A short section of pavement connects the loop back through the woods to campus. There are three water stations located along the 5K route. The Gator Gallop is routed through a field on the NTCC campus. The 1 Mile Fun Run follows pavement and is described as an easy walk or run.
All participants in the 5K receive a race participation medal and a Gator Tail 5K Trail Run t shirt. Prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place male and female in the 5K and in the Gator Gallop kids run. Sponsor benefits vary by level and include complimentary team registration, a reserved 10'x10' tent space, logo placement on the event T shirt and sponsor board, and recognition on the NTCC website and social media.
