Frosty Cox 6-Hour Trail Race : Concord, NC
The Frosty Cox 6-Hour Trail Race takes place on January 16, 2027 at a private network of trails in Concord, NC near 3702 Sapp Road. The course is a loop of 6.2 miles (10K) composed of about 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and entirely dirt underfoot. Each loop includes roughly 1,350 feet of elevation gain and features a creek crossing, hardwood forest sections, and mature pine groves with varied climbs and descents.
Only complete laps count toward distance totals. A participant who completes at least one full lap is recorded as a finisher and receives a finisher award. Completing five full laps, which totals about 31 miles, within the six hour limit earns a 50K award. Separate awards are given for the top overall male and female finishers.
A centrally located aid station is available each loop and is described as fully stocked with standard snacks, Tailwind, and home-baked goods. Hot cocoa may be provided if conditions are cold. Parking is available on site and across the street; carpooling is recommended. Registration opens August 1, 2026. Due to limited field size and event costs, refunds are not offered.
