Fright and Flight 5K
The Fright and Flight 5K is a fundraising race held on October 4, 2026 at the Hyde Lake Pavilion in Shelby Farms Park, Memphis, TN. Proceeds benefit the Dorothy Day House, a nonprofit that supports homeless families in Memphis by providing housing assistance and job support. The event is intended to coincide with the Halloween season.
Race options include:
- 5K
- 5K Cross Country Team
- Kids Fun Run
Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female overall finishers.
Packet pickup, bib distribution, and day-of registration take place at the Hyde Lake Pavilion. A kids run and the 5K are held on the event date, followed by an award presentation for overall winners. A course map is provided by event organizers.
Registration uses tiered pricing that changes by registration period. There are no refunds unless the participant purchased the Refund Protection Program. Race management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions, and registration fees are not refundable if the event is cancelled for reasons classified as Acts of God.
