Forest 1/2 Marathon and 7 Miler
The Forest 7 Miler and Half Marathon take place on the Wolf River Trails in Memphis, TN, on December 12, 2026. The routes use the same trail system as the Mamba 100; the Half Marathon follows the Mamba 100 route with a shortened section to reach the 13.1 mile distance, while the 7 Miler highlights scenic sections of that course. Trails are described as smooth singletrack that is mostly flat, fast, and highly runnable in a winter forest setting.
Race operations include fully stocked aid stations, generous cutoff times, and a Start/Finish aid station with hot and cold food, water, sports drink, music, and post-race refreshments. A fully stocked aid station is located around Mile 3.5 of the 7 Miler; Half Marathon runners have a second fully stocked aid station around Mile 8.5. There are two sections where runners travel in both directions near the Bridge Aid Station and near the Wolf River Bridge on the Half Marathon course.
This is a cupless event; participants must bring a handheld bottle, hydration vest, or another method to carry water. Runners should follow orange ground flags and course markings, keeping flags on the right side, and wear their race bib on the front of the body for photography. The event is organized by Mamba Trail Runners and registration closes Friday, December 11 at 8:00 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
