MRTC Frank Horton Memorial Winter Off-Road Series
The event is a four-race winter off-road running series held on courses around the Memphis area. The series includes four individual races with the following distances and dates:
- 3K - Jan 10, location TBA
- 5K - Jan 24, W. C. Johnson Park, Collierville
- 8K - Feb 7, Nesbit Park, Bartlett (aka Stanky Creek)
- 10K - Feb 21, Shelby Farms
Registration is handled online. There will be no staffed onsite registration desks; race day registration is possible only via a personal device while the online registration site remains open. Registration fees increase by $10 on or after the first race of the series. If a participant registers by December 21st, their chip and bib will be mailed before the first race, and packets are expected to be mailed the first week of January.
Full series entrants receive a long sleeve t-shirt; single race day registrants do not receive a shirt. Results will be posted online and via email, and awards are distributed after the full series is complete. A points system determines overall and age group awards for the four-race series; runners must complete at least three of the four races to be eligible, and completing all four earns an extra point. Ties are broken by the best performance in the longest race. The awards ceremony will take place one to two weeks after the final race.
