About the race
The First Responders Half Marathon - Vancouver takes place on Sunday November 1, 2026, in Pacific Spirit Regional Park. Races start and finish on Sasamat Trail adjacent to the Sasamat Reservoir and the courses run through forested trails including Sherry Sakamoto, Sword Fern, Salish and Hemlock. The half marathon is a 21.1 km course completed as two laps; there are also 10 km and 5 km options.
Entry fees listed for standard registration are $85 for the 21 km, $55 for the 10 km and $45 for the 5 km, with fee increases scheduled on January 1, June 1 and October 1. Pricing does not include GST or online transaction fees. Entries received after October 15 are not guaranteed event merchandise. All entry packages include a short sleeve cotton event t-shirt (not guaranteed after October 17), finisher medal, chip timing with event updates pending minimum attendance otherwise manual timing, aid stations, post race snacks and eligibility for draw prizes.
Team entries are for four runners in the 21 km or 10 km. Teams register a name, all members run together and the team time is the average of the four individual times; each runner also receives an individual time. A charity category offers a reduced $40 entry in exchange for a fundraising commitment of at least $400; failing to meet the minimum 24 hours before race day may result in a charge for the difference.
Race package pickup is available Saturday October 31 at The Right Shoe and Sunday by request only. Ample parking is available along W 16th adjacent to the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
