Monster Dash 5K
Monster Dash 5K is a Halloween-themed running event held at Swangard Stadium and on nearby park routes in Burnaby, BC. The event includes a chip-timed 5K and a children’s Mini Monster Dash around the stadium track.
The event features:
- 5K chip-timed race for participants aged 11 and up
- Mini Monster Dash 400 m for children aged 10 and under
Age and supervision rules apply: the minimum age for the 5K is 11; participants aged 11 to 13 must be accompanied on course by a registered adult, and those aged 14 to 17 may participate without an adult but must follow all race rules. A parent or legal guardian must sign the event waiver for participants under 18. Children older than 10 cannot enter the Mini Monster Dash.
Registration packages include a custom swag bag and finisher medals for 5K participants, a goodie bag and medal for Mini Monster Dash participants, chip-timed race bibs for the 5K, and post race refreshments. There will be no race day registration and entries are non refundable.
Terrain includes paved pathways, grass, and loose gravel with slight inclines and declines. Pets are not permitted inside the stadium; they may accompany owners on the Central Park route on a leash. Package pickup is at Fit First Foot Wear located at Christine Sinclair Community Centre on Friday, October 30, 2026, between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
