Monster Dash 5K takes place on October 31, 2026 at Swangard Stadium, Boundary Road, Burnaby. The event includes a main 5 km race and a children’s dash on the stadium track.
- 5 km for participants aged 11 and up
- Mini Monster Dash 400 m for children aged 10 and under
Registered participants receive a custom swag bag. Mini Monster Dash entrants receive a goodie bag and a finisher medal. 5 km runners use chip timing and race bibs. Post-race refreshments will be available. There is no race day registration and entry fees are non refundable.
Age and supervision rules: minimum age for the 5 km is 11; participants aged 11 to 13 must be accompanied on course by a registered adult; participants aged 14 to 17 may race without an accompanying adult. A parent or legal guardian must sign the event waiver for participants under 18.
Logistics: race kit pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the designated pickup location in Burnaby. The course terrain includes paved pathways, grass, and loose gravel with slight inclines and declines and potentially uneven surfaces. Pets are not permitted inside the stadium where start, finish, and post race activities occur; pets may accompany owners on the Central Park route on leash.
