About the race
The FSX Black Friday 100 is a Black Friday endurance event on the Fifth Street Cross course that offers both cycling and running distance challenges. Entry is $25 plus a 6-pack contribution; entrants who do not bring a 6-pack may instead contribute $20 to the prize pot. No USAC membership is required and there are no refunds. Scoring is by elapsed time from when a participant starts their effort; the fastest elapsed time to reach the committed distance is the winner.
Multiple registrations are allowed so a single person may enter more than one distance on the same day. Relay teams are permitted, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 members; team entry is $25 per person and each member must provide a 6-pack prize equivalent. A split option is available that combines running and riding distances (for example running 50k then riding 50k). Concurrent relay teams must remain together for each lap; if a group separates, their time is removed from the results.
Organizers recommend exchanging a single bike computer between teammates for relay handoffs. The course is measured each year and is roughly 1.6 miles per lap. Food and drink are BYO; a grill is available on site. Parking is at 165 Kline’s Lane and Minor St., Emmaus, PA 18049 with additional parking inside the compost center when available.
