Field Station Frenzy Trail Run
Field Station Frenzy is a trail event held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Chellberg Farm in Indiana Dunes National Park, 709 N Mineral Springs Rd, Porter, IN. The event includes a measured, well-marked trail course with professional chip timing and runs through sections of the Little Calumet River Trail and past several historic landmarks.
The course surface is mainly grass, mulch, dirt trails, and boardwalk. Participants should expect uneven surfaces and natural trail obstacles such as slippery leaves, roots, rocks, and fallen branches. No strollers or pets are allowed. All registration is online only; no paper forms or on-site payments are accepted. Free on-site child care is provided for participants.

Awards and recognition include medals for all 5K finishers and one-of-a-kind wooden awards for overall and age group winners. The event is part of the Calumet Region Striders Gold Cup Series and meets the High Quality Event Standards of the American Trail Runners Association.
