Field Station Frenzy Trail Run
Field Station Frenzy is a community trail event held at Chellberg Farm in Indiana Dunes National Park near Porter, IN. The event includes a main trail run and shorter kids runs, with an accurately measured course and professional chip timing. Race amenities listed by the organizer include long-sleeve technical shirts, finisher medals for all 5 km finishers, and unique wooden awards for overall and age-group places.
The course uses park trails, including portions of the Little Calumet River Trail, and runs over grass, mulch, dirt, and boardwalk. Participants should expect uneven surfaces and natural obstacles such as roots, rocks, slippery leaves, and fallen branches. No strollers or pets are allowed on the course. Free on-site child care is provided for participants during the event.
The event is part of the Calumet Region Striders Gold Cup Series and meets the High Quality Event Standards of the American Trail Runners Association. Registration is online only; paper forms and on-site payment are not accepted. An on-site awards ceremony recognizes top finishers and age-group winners, and the event notes categories that include overall, masters, standard age groups, and weight classes.
