Farmdale Trail Run
The Farmdale Trail Run takes place at the Farmdale Reservoir, an 800-acre area managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers and volunteer organizations. Located between East Peoria, Washington, and Morton, Illinois, the venue features single-track trails, service roads, and open prairie. The event offers five distinct race distances for participants:
- 100 Miler
- 50 Miler
- 30 Miler
- 1/2 Marathon
- 10K
The course for the longer distances follows a loop format. Participants in the 100 Miler have the option to drop down to the 50 Miler mid-race; however, they must stop exactly at the 50-mile mark to receive an award. The event has a total cutoff time of 32 hours for the 50-mile and 100-mile categories, while the 10K and 1/2 Marathon have a 9-hour time limit.
Support services include aid stations provided with a variety of food options. Runners with specific dietary requirements are encouraged to bring their own supplies, which staff can prepare upon request. Pacers are permitted for athletes after they complete their first loop. Crew access for all participants is restricted to the start and finish aid station area.
On-site camping is available at the reservoir starting the afternoon before the races. While trailers and campers can be accommodated in limited numbers, prior permission from organizers is required. All participants receive a shirt and a finisher medal, while those completing the 50 Miler or 100 Miler are awarded buckles and additional commemorative items.
