Fall Frolic 4 Miler | 8 HR : Hingham, MA
The Fall Frolic is a trail running event at the campground area of Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts on November 7, 2026. The course is a single loop of about 4.2 to 4.4 miles with roughly 140 ft of elevation gain. The route leaves the campground after about 0.5 miles into woods and alternates runnable flat trails with short sections of roots and pavement. An aid station sits around the halfway point and the course returns to the campground with a short paved finish section.
There are three entry formats:
- 4 Miler - one 4.2 to 4.4 mile loop on trails and short pavement.
- 8 Hour - run as many 4 mile loops as possible within eight hours.
- Last Human Standing variant - hourly 4 mile loops; late returns move a runner to the 8 Hour category.
Support and logistics include porta potties at the start finish and a community food and drink table with gluten free, vegan, and nut free options. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday November 6 at TA Fitness Weymouth and at the park on race day. Expect mud and water on trails in November. Participants registered by October 20 are guaranteed a shirt and a handmade medal they may choose to represent their miles. The event is organized by TA Fitness.
