Escape from Folsom - Granite Beach, Folsom Lake SRA
The Escape from Folsom Trail Runs are scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2027, at Granite Beach in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The event offers two trail distances that run along scenic paths beside the lake, with visible wildflower displays during the season.
Runners can choose between the following distances:
- 10 miles
- 5K (3.1 miles)
Aid stations are located on the course at miles 1, 2.5, 3.5, 5, 7.5, and 9. Each aid station serves cold water, FLUID Electrolyte beverage, CLIF Shot energy gels, and CLIF Bloks. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed, but runners are asked to exercise caution when crossing roads and to remain attentive on trails. Race packets are available on race morning at the event site.
Awards are given to first place Overall Male and Female in both the 5K and the 10 mile, and there are awards three deep in each ten-year age group for both distances. Every finisher receives a custom finisher medal. Soft-cotton race shirts are available for sale prior to the race for $20.
TBF Racing operates a no refund policy. Refunds requested prior to race week are issued as a TBF Race credit minus a $25 processing fee; transfers to another TBF event within one year are allowed with a $25 transfer fee.
