EpicTrails 10km Exploring trails by headtorch
EpicTrails organises a social trail run on 15 October 2026 that starts from Milngavie Train Station and follows local paths including the Clyde Coastal Path and the West Highland Way. The advertised distance is 10 km. The route begins in daylight but is expected to be dark or getting dark by the finish.
The run is led by a qualified, experienced guide who is insured and first aid trained. These runs are social runs rather than races. Groups will regroup at various points, no one is left behind and group sizes are managed for participant safety. Dogs and anyone under 18 are not permitted because they are not covered by the event insurance.
Mandatory kit is required and will be detailed in the run brief for each route and time of year; the organiser states that trail shoes and a head torch are always mandatory. Participants without required kit will not be allowed to run. The event is run not for profit; fees cover costs and any surplus is donated periodically to a local charity. The entry fee is £3.
