Do It In The Bush Trail 5K
Do It In The Bush is a trail running event held at Chickasabogue Park in Eight Mile, Alabama on May 22, 2027. The main event is a roughly 5K cross country course through the park trails. A separate fun run follows an approximately three quarter mile route on a paved trail. The organizers reserve the right to modify the course for weather or safety reasons.
Registration is available by mail or in person at McCoy Outdoor, Run N Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile until noon on the Thursday before the race. Online registration closes at 6 AM the Friday before the race. Packet pick up and registration are offered in advance at the Port City Pacers Clubhouse and on race day at the park pavilion. To guarantee a race shirt, entries and fees must be submitted by May 9.
Fee categories include discounted pre registration rates for Port City Pacers members and non members if submitted by April 1, 2027, regular pre registration prices, and day of race prices. A no shirt option reduces the fee by two dollars. Proceeds benefit the Port City Pacers Scholarship Fund.
Awards are given for top overall finishers, masters and grandmasters age categories, top walker, and the top three in standard age groups. A post race gathering includes food and beverages and the presentation of the PCP Scholarship. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
