Derbyshire Dales Trail Run
The Derbyshire Dales Trail Run is a set of trail races based at Bakewell Showground in the Peak District National Park. The event offers three measured distances that run through varied countryside and established trail paths.
- 21.5 km Half Marathon, elevation gain +400 m
- 15 km, elevation gain +306 m
- 10.1 km, elevation gain +172 m
Routes start on the Monsal Trail and follow the River Derwent, with views across the Chatsworth House estate and passages through the village of Edensor. The course includes rolling countryside, a notable descent followed by a short climb into Manners Wood, and clearly signed sections marked with pink arrows and tape.
Entries include chip timing, a high quality finisher medal, a finisher goodie and drink, and a personalised certificate. On-course support comprises refillable water stations, on-course refreshments, first aid cover, marshals and event photography. The event village provides toilets before the race and a bag drop service is available. Parking is available at local car parks adjacent to the venue; charges may apply.
