Derbyshire Dales Trail Run, Bakewell Showground
The Derbyshire Dales Trail Run is a trail running event in the Peak District that offers three measured routes from Bakewell Showground. Routes follow sections of the Monsal Trail and run alongside the River Derwent, with views of the Chatsworth House estate and passages through the village of Edensor. The course includes rolling countryside, a descent followed by a short climb into Manners Wood, and a finish at the event centre.

The event is chip timed and provides a high quality metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie and drink, and a personalised certificate. On-course support includes marked water stations, first aid cover, course marshals, and event photography. The route is fully signed using pink arrows and tape; hazards and road junctions are marked with caution signage.
Practical details noted for participants include onsite bib collection on arrival and a plastic free policy that encourages the use of reusable cups or bottles at water stations.
