Peak Raid Race 4 Alstonefield South
Peak Raid Race 4 at Alstonefield is part of the Peak Raid 2026 series and takes place on 6 December 2026 in the Peak District. The event is a fell running score race with a time limit of three hours. Competitors receive a waterproof map, control descriptions and a points sheet at the start and select their own route to collect as many points as possible within the time allowed.
The series comprises four events and uses varied terrain, from high moorland requiring accurate navigation to more runnable limestone dales with a network of footpaths. The event uses SiTiming and allows entry as a solo runner or as a pair. Pairs can enter any category; the age category for pairs is determined by the oldest competitor. Minimum age to compete is 14 and age categories are set relative to 31 December 2026. Where one runner is under 18, the other must be over 21 and act as parent, guardian or appointed accompanying adult.
Mandatory kit checks are carried out on the day. All competitors must carry FRA minimum kit including waterproof whole body cover (jacket and trousers with taped seams and integrated hood), hat, gloves, map (provided), compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. Prizes require completion of at least two races and are awarded per category; prize allocation varies with category size. Dogs are not permitted. Entry tiers are listed with reduced rates for FRA members, and entries open and close on specified dates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
