David's Trail Endurance Run
David's Trail Endurance Run is a trail race held in February on David's Trail along Norfork Lake in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The course runs through Robinson Point, Panther Bay, and Bidwell parks and combines single-track and double-track trail.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 50K: 5,000+ ft elevation gain
- 25K: 2,500+ ft elevation gain
- 7K
The race is cupless: aid stations are stocked but participants must carry their own handheld, reservoir, or use a personal cup such as the HydraPak Speed Cup. Proceeds support trail expansion. The trail system has had maintenance and some rerouting, so there are separate previous and current course records.
February weather in the Ozarks can vary widely, from mild to snowy, and the event is held in all conditions. Rocking Chair Resort hosts the weekend with on-site lodging near the start and finish area; other local lodging options are listed by the organizer. An overall cutoff of nine hours is used for the 50K; checkpoint time limits are applied on the course and participants who do not meet them are escorted back to the start/finish area.
