11th Annual Trail Race at Crystal Lake
The Crystal Lake Outdoor Center Trail Race takes place in Hughesville, Pennsylvania. This event marks the 11th edition of the race and utilizes the property's cross-country trail system. The course features varying levels of difficulty throughout the scenic terrain.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The 5 km course is open to both runners and walkers. While the trails vary in difficulty, the route does not include any sections described as overly steep. The 10 km event is designated for runners and covers a larger portion of the trail network. Registrations completed by April 20th include a race shirt.
The event site is a hub for outdoor recreation during the fall, winter, and spring. Aside from trail running, the property supports activities such as hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, boating, fishing, and ice skating. Overnight lodging is available on-site for those who make reservations at least one week before the event.
As the host is a non-profit organization, proceeds from the race are directed toward Outdoor Center operations, including equipment purchases and the maintenance of the trails.
