Crooked Loops Trail Run
The event takes place at Independence Oaks, 9501 Sashabaw Rd, Clarkston, MI 48348. In October the park is noted for peak fall colors; the courses run through hardwood forests and on wood chip trails.
All races begin and end at the same location near Crooked Lake. The main loop circles Crooked Lake and features rolling hills. The 5.5 Mile route follows the main loop a second time and then branches onto Rock Ridge Trail. The 8.5 Mile route includes a third lap and continues onto Spring Lake Trail.
Available distances:
- 2.5 Mile single circuit around Crooked Lake.
- 5.5 Mile second lap plus Rock Ridge Trail.
- 8.5 Mile third lap continuing onto Spring Lake Trail.
Registration opens 12/1/2025 and closes 5/31/2026. Registration fees listed are $30.00 for the 2.5 Mile, $35.00 for the 5.5 Mile, and $40.00 for the 8.5 Mile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
