Crooked Creek Trail Challenge 5K
The Crooked Creek Trail Challenge 5K is a trail running event held at Harry S. Frazier Scout Reservation (Camp Crooked Creek) in Shepherdsville, Kentucky on December 5 and December 6, 2026. Two separate 5K trail races are scheduled, each covering 3.1 miles over natural trail terrain.
The course runs through more than 1,000 acres of rolling hills and mixed hardwood forest, including stands of oak, hickory, and beech. The route passes around the 70-acre John Barr Lake located at the center of the race village. The venue is also used for longer trail events at Camp Crooked Creek.
Registration opens on February 21, 2026 and closes on the day of each event. The entry fee is $15 per runner. A race T-shirt is available for $10 if purchased by November 20, 2026. Packet pickup is available Friday, December 4 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Camp Crooked Creek Dining Hall or on race day beginning at 7:00 AM.
Awards are presented to the top male and top female finishers, and all finishers receive a custom Crooked Creek 5K medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
