Community Traverse - Moors 100

The Moors 100 Miler is a long distance mountain event covering approximately 160 kilometres from Patterdale in the Lake District to The Lion Inn on the North York Moors. The route follows sections of Wainwright's Coast to Coast route and passes through mountain passes, rolling dales, remote valleys, historic market towns, open farmland, and expansive moorland.

The event is a timed endurance challenge with a 60 hour cut off and a minimum age of 20. Entry details include an entry fee of £145, entries opening 18 June 2026 and closing 1 March 2027. A GPX file and final route information will be issued prior to the event. The event is officially registered with the International Trail Running Association and finishing participants receive ITRA endurance points.

Checkpoints are located at Shap, Kirkby Stephen, Richmond, Ingleby Cross Village Hall, and The Lion Inn. Checkpoints provide water and hot food with vegan and gluten free options, snacks and race nutrition, indoor access, toilets, and first aid support. Live tracking is in place for all participants; trackers must be returned at the finish or on withdrawal.

A mandatory kit list applies. Participants must follow the official route, report to Race Control if withdrawing, and be capable of maintaining forward progress within event cut offs. Full race details, cut offs, and kit requirements will be issued before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
