Community Hike & Trail Run Series (2026)
This is a recurring, monthly outdoor meeting organized by FIERCE Advocates with Moving Forward and Richmond Run Club at 5551 Giant Highway, Richmond, CA. The series runs on first Saturdays in 2026: March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 4, August 1, September 5, October 3, and November 7. Sessions are listed with a typical duration of 3 hours, are open to all ages, and offer free parking.
Each meetup begins with a brief welcome and safety notes, then participants choose between two formats. The Community Hike follows a conversational pace with regroup points and an explicit approach of leaving no one behind on the hike route. The Trail Run option follows a faster pace and covers more miles; it is self paced and uses a clear route plan. Trailhead location, parking details, route distance and elevation, and recommended items are posted for registrants before each date.
Participants are advised to bring water, sturdy shoes, layers, and sun protection; snacks and trekking poles are optional. Routes may shift for weather or trail conditions. Attendees are expected to participate within their own limits and to follow the safety guidance provided at each meetup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
