Community Hike & Trail Run Series (2026) - Richmond
This is a recurring monthly outdoor meetup that combines a community hike with an optional trail-run pace. The series is organized by FIERCE Advocates together with Moving Forward and Richmond Run Club and takes place at 5551 Giant Highway, Richmond, CA 94806. Each meetup is listed for three hours and includes a brief group welcome with safety notes before participants begin.
Sessions occur on first Saturdays in 2026: March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 4, August 1, September 5, October 3, and November 7. Participants choose between two pace options: a community hike at a conversational pace with regroup points and an emphasis on keeping the group together, or a trail-run option at a faster pace covering more miles, self-paced with a clear route plan. The group finishes together.
Organizers share event details with registrants before each date; posted information includes trailhead and parking, route distance and elevation, and recommended items to bring. The listing notes free parking and that routes may change for weather or trail conditions. Participants are asked to move at their own pace and within their limits.
What to bring: water, sturdy shoes, layers, and sun protection. Optional items include snacks and trekking poles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
