Angel Island Half Marathon & 10K
The Angel Island Half Marathon & 10K is the 36th annual running event held at Angel Island State Park in Tiburon, California on August 29, 2026. The course is a hilly loop that circumnavigates the island and offers panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Alcatraz Island, the East Bay, and Marin County.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon - two loops around the island
- 10K - single loop around the island
- Half Marathon Youth (6-17) - same course as the half marathon
- 10K Youth (6-17) - same course as the 10K
The event is limited to 400 participants. Course markings use orange ribbon where trails cross or turn. There are no aid stations on the course; aid is available before the second half marathon loop and food and drink will be available at the finish. Half marathoners must complete the first loop within 1 hour 30 minutes and the overall course cut-off is 3.5 hours. Hikers and walkers are welcome in the 10K.
Race pricing includes the charter ferry fee. Athletes must take the chartered ferry from the Tiburon ferry dock to reach the start; spectator ferry fees apply on race day. Bib numbers are mailed beginning two weeks before the event; unmailed bibs may be picked up at the Tiburon ferry dock on race morning. T shirts are provided to participants; medals are awarded to all half marathon finishers and personalized ribbons are mailed to top three finishers in each age group.
