Coldwater Trail Race
The Coldwater Trail Race is a multi-day mountain bike and trail running event held at Coldwater Mountain in Anniston, Alabama. The weekend runs from October 30 to November 1, 2026 and includes both competition and community activities on and around the trail system.
Coldwater Mountain features about 60 miles of purpose-built singletrack that ranges from beginner-friendly flow to technical, rock-strewn descents. For 2026 the event adds two new mountain bike races and two new trail run races. Distances offered include:
- 40-mile mountain bike
- 17-mile mountain bike
- 50K trail run
- 25K trail run
Event logistics and weekend services include packet pickup and late registration on the early days of the weekend, a separate packet pickup for run events later in the weekend, and showers plus food and drink available for finishers. Planned activities listed for the schedule include an evening fun ride and fun run, pizza and beverages at the NEABA headquarters, live music and food, and a dinner buffet catered by Effina's with a sample menu listing salads, lasagna options, gluten-free bolognese, and garlic bread. The weekend also includes a mountain bike shake-out ride from the Ladiga Trail to McClellan Trails, described as a 12-mile easy ride.
