Rockin Choccolocco 50K - 25K - 10K
The event offers trail races on the Pinhoti Trail in Heflin, AL, organized by Pinhoti Trail Races and centered at Cahulga Creek Park, 343 Mountain St.
Distances
- 50K point-to-point on the Pinhoti Trail, finishes at Cahulga Creek Park
- 25K lollipop course starting and finishing at Cahulga Creek Park
- 10K out-and-back course from Cahulga Creek Park
The 50K runs primarily on single-track trail and connects to the Heflin Spur for the final section. Course features include scenic overlooks, creek crossings, lakes, hardwood and pine forest terrain. Time limits are published for each distance.
Aid stations are provided at multiple locations on each course with specific mileages noted for the 50K, 25K, and 10K. Restrooms are available at the start and finish areas. Packet pickup is available at Cahulga Creek Park and additional race morning pickup locations are provided for the 50K and the shorter races.
Bus transportation from Cahulga Creek Park to the 50K start (FS 532) is available for a fee. Parking for participants is indicated in the grassy area to the left on arrival to Cahulga Creek Park. Camping is available at Cahulga Creek Park for a small donation; restrooms are available but no showers.
Results are posted online and awards include top overall placements by gender and age categories, with medals for all finishers. The event continues to run in varying weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
