The Coastal Pathway was initiated in 2009 and saw major construction from 2019, with four sections completed by 2022 and the Turners Beach to Leith link finished in 2023. The pathway is presented as infrastructure that supports walking and cycling for commuting, contributes to health and wellbeing, and supports the visitor economy.
The event takes place on October 4, 2026, and uses the existing coastal track between Latrobe and Ulverstone for the route. Organisers list separate race pages and a relay option alongside solo distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
