North West Trail Running Series Round 2 : Railton

This event is a trail running round held in Railton, Tasmania on Sunday 9th of August 2026. The courses run largely on public mountain bike singletrack with some short road sections on the medium and long routes. Organisers note that the trails are primarily for MTB use and that the event could be cancelled if trail access is interrupted.

Three course options are offered with listed distances and elevation gain:

  • 5 km | 100 m gain
  • 12 km | 220 m gain
  • 18 km | 380 m gain

There will be no on-course assistance during the event. Free electrolytes are provided at the Start/Finish area for refillable bottles or cups. Parking may be used on local streets while observing council signage and resident access; a specific area will be off limits to parking as designated by organisers.

Entry fees vary by distance and there is an additional fee for on the day entry. Cut off times and average paces are specified for each course: the short course has a 1 hour cut off, the medium 2 hours 40 minutes, and the long 4 hours.
