Bridgedale Coast 2 Coast - Mourne Marathon
The Bridgedale Mourne Coast 2 Coast is a point to point mountain marathon held on 24 April 2027. The route covers 26.2 miles (42 km) and includes a summit of Slieve Donard, the highest peak in the Mourne range.
The course starts in Rostrevor and follows the Mourne Way through forest trails, open mountain tracks and remote valleys. Runners reach Trassey Track and climb into the High Mournes toward the Slieve Donard summit, then descend to a finish in Donard Park, Newcastle. The event takes participants across a true coast to coast line through the Mourne Mountains.
The route features significant elevation gain, technical sections and a mixture of runnable trails, steeper climbs and off-road terrain. Organiser information notes challenging mountain conditions and varied surfaces throughout the course.
