About the race
A Trail 5 km race around a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway, run as two anti-clockwise laps of the path around Clowbridge Reservoir. The course starts and finishes at Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF, and has approximately 25 m of elevation gain over the 5 km.
This event is the second race in a three-race Spring Series held on Thursdays: 15 April, 22 April and 29 April 2027. Entry is open to competitors aged 11 and over. Prizes are awarded in each race and the course is described as well marshalled. The organiser is Run JMC and the series is licensed under ARC 27/0066.
Practical notes provided by the organiser include provision for parking at the lower car park by the Sailing Club and Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir. Series entry fee is listed at £6.50.
