Clowbridge 5k - Autumn 2/3
The Clowbridge 5k is a trail race run around Clowbridge Reservoir near the Pennine Bridleway. It forms part of a three-race series held on 3, 10 and 17 September 2026.
The course uses the trail path around the reservoir and consists of two laps run anti-clockwise from Rossendale Valley Sailing Club, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The advertised distance is 5 km with approximately 25 m of elevation gain across the route. The event is open to participants aged 11 and over.
Entries are managed through SiEntries; the series opened on 21 March 2026 and entries close on 9 September 2026. The published entry fee is £6.50. Prizes are awarded in each race and the course is marshalled. Parking is available locally, including the lower car park at the sailing club and at Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir. Monies from the series will be donated to local causes. The organising body is listed as RunJMC and the event is shown as pending ARC licensing.
